50 doctors of Allama Iqbal Medical College Pakistan  to set up medical camp at Gaza

Report LAHORE: A team consisting upon 50 doctors and other par medical staff of Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital will leave for Gaza to medical treatment and to help suffering Palestinians who had become victims of Israeli attacks for last over twenty days. Principal Prof Javid Arkram of Allama Iqbal Medical College, Medical Superintendent Jinnah Hospital and Chairman Board of Management of Jinnah Hospital addresssinga joint press conference, here on Tuesday said. "We can not leave the Palestinians brethrens alone at this moment of distress and we will use all available resources for their restoration. Prof Javid Arkram said that in the recent attacks of Israel more than eleven thousands Palestinians, including children, women and men were injured and there were no adequate doctors and medicines to meet the emergency. He said medical teams consisting upon doctors would be visit Gaza and they would stay there till the recovery of injured persons. He disclosed that for this purpose a camp had been set up in hospital for collection of donations from the people, who were extremely concerned about mass scale killings and injured persons in Gaza. He said according to initial estimates, these medical teams need at least Rs 90 million and so far we had collected Rs60million. And for the rest of money we have opened bank account and we appeal to the people to contribute for this cause. Prof. Javid Akram said in order to express solidarity with the Palestinians brothers and sisters suffering from the brutality of Israel a walk would be organized starting from M S. office at 1.00 pm
