University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences  VC visits Jhang Campus

LAHORE (APP): Vice Chancellor, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore Prof Dr. Muhammad Nawaz paid a surprise visit to the Jhang campus (College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang) on Wednesday. Principal Prof Dr Ashiq Hussain Cheema briefed the VC on the academic an extra curricular activities planned in the spring semester which started from February 23. The VC inspected the anatomy, pharmacology, parasitology and microbiology laboratories and inquired about the ongoing practical classes. He also met the newly recruited teachers and advised them to update their knowledge and skills according to this fast changing world in this hi-tech age. He also asked them to focus on quality of teaching as well as character building of students so that they could be made useful-responsible citizens and competent professionals. Prof Nawaz addressed the students and held a question answer session with them. He advised the students to equip themselves with the latest knowledge in order to face the challenges in the field of livestock and dairy development in Pakistan. He said the veterinarians should give more importance to disease prevention and herd health. The VC also heard the problems being faced by the students and issued directives for their solutions. The college principal thanked the vice chancellor and said that his visit will certainly encourage the staff and the students.
