University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences arranges field visits

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged the field visits of the participants of the 'University Student Forum'.

Australian and Pakistani students along with Dr Peter Wynn from Australia , Dr Russel Bush from the Sydney University, Australia, ASLP Project Manager David McGill and other ASLP representatives and UVAS faculty members from the Dairy Department visited the Nestle Sarsabz Farm and LDDB Progressive Farm at Pattoki. The Australian guests showed keen interest in the farms and facilities there.

Earlier in the morning, the forum students worked in groups on their topics including calf management, nutrition, fodder and reproductive management on the city campus of the UVAS.

The three-day forum will conclude today (Thursday) evening with working group presentations and recommendations for improving extension services for the uplift of the dairy sector in Pakistan.
