Lahore  02 June:A conference on “World Thyroid Day” was held here at Patiala Block of King Edward Medical University on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued here, KEMU VC Prof Faisal Masud, Prof Irshad Hussain Qureshi, Dr Fawad Ahmad Randhawa and Dr Uzma Malik addressing the seminar, apprised the young doctors of latest treatment modalities of thyroid diseases.

They appealed to public to immediately approach a competent doctor/endocrinologist in case of a problem regarding thyroid and if they ignore thyroid diseases it could cause various other diseases, including heart diseases.
The conference was attended by nuclear physicians from Atomic Energy Commission’s CENUM Centre.The news.
