At the time of submission of admission form candidate will deposit pay order Rs. 100,000 in favour of Treasure Punjab University, Lahore. In the case of admission, College annual fee will also be paid.

Admission Forms are available from 06th September to 15th September 2006. After 15th of September no form will be received.

MISCELLANEOUS REGULATIONS

PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES

   1.       Students shall pay their dues on the date fixed by the Principal on which these are due, to the University New Campus Branch of the Habib Bank Limited, after obtaining the prescribed challan forms from the office of the Bursar. Under no circumstances shall any money be paid, deposited or entrusted to an employee of the College.
   2.       After the expiry of the due date, rupee one per day fine will be charged up to the last working day of the month and after that the student's name shall be struck off the College rolls*. Thus, the student shall have to seek re-admission on payment of Rs.200.
   3.       All money orders should be in exact payment of the College dues and should be addressed to the Principal, Punjab University Law College, Lahore, and not to the Assistant Registrar or Administrative Officer or even to the Bursar of the College.
   4. Cheques are not acceptable in payment of dues.
   5. A student intending to leave the College must make a formal application for withdrawal by the last date of the month failing which he shall be liable to pay fee for the following month.
   6. Fees should be paid by the students personally or through some responsible agent. In order to avoid risks, fees may not be sent through servants.
   7. Fees must be paid on or before the prescribed dates, even though the student is absent from the College or on leave.

ATTENDANCE

GENERAL RULES

INSTRUCTION

Classes are normally held from 7-30 a.m. to 12-00 noon. The Office remains open on all working days during the official University timings.
Evening Classes are usual held from 4-30 p.m. to 8-15 p.m.

HOUSE EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

House Examinations may be held in December/January. Students who absent themselves from these examinations, without previously obtained, leave or get less than twenty per cent. Marks in any subject, are liable to fine. Application for exemption on ground of serious illness of the candidate must be accompanied by a certificate from a medical officer not blow the rank of Civil Surgeon or DHO, Certifying that the candidate was ill on the days of the House Examinations. Attendance at House Examinations is counted as attendance at lectures. Each paper is counted as five lectures.

A student, whose House Examination result or whose conduct is, in the opinion of the Principal, unsatisfactory, may not be sent up for the Annual Examination.
 

LAW MOOT REGULATIONS

   1.       The conduct of the Law Society is in the hands of a Committee consisting of the Principal, one whole-time teacher and Student Secretaries.
   2.       The Committee normally holds its first meeting soon after admissions when the programme of Moot for the whole academic year is drawn up.
   3.       For each moot eight person will be chosen as speakers, four on either side.
   4.       Each speaker will allowed to argue fully his side of the case. The opener will have the right to reply.
   5.       Students preparing a Law Moot may get assistance from the teacher incharge.
   6.       Except in the case of special moots held from time to time, speakers will ordinarily be chosen by rotation so as to afford opportunity to the largest possible number of students to take an active part in the moots.
   7.       Before the conclusion of a moot, the proportion and the names of the speakers for the next moot will be announced by the presiding lecturer.
   8.       Attendance at the moot is compulsory for the class for which the moot is arranged.
   9.       Attendance at each Law Moot counts as two lectures. Roll calls hall taken by the presiding lecturer at the commencement of the meeting. There shall also be a second roll call before the meeting is dispersion. Credit for attendance will be given to those students only who are present throughout the moot.
  10.       Students who are selected as speakers but who do not turn up at the meeting are liable to be fined. Their names shall be reported by the presiding lecturer to the Principal.
  11.       Speakers who come unprepared or get less than 20 per cent marks in the moots shall be amerced absent and this will mean liability to fine. Such names will be reported by the presiding lecturer to the Principal.
  12.       The Moot Committee arranges for occasional visits to the High Court and subordinate Courts in small batches of students under the supervision of a lecturer to watch the proceedings. The Secretary concerned maintains a record of such visits on the prescribed form.
  13.       Students will be invariably required to bring in trays, Law Reports and other Books of citation.
  14.       Students arguing the proposition at the Prize Competition Moot are required to come in gowns.
  15.       The teacher-in-charge should see that the proposition to be argued is not one-sided and the facts are fully set out. If the Proposition given in the programme does not fulfill this condition, it may be amended or changed.
  16.       The following prize are awarded by the Union Committee:--
       
      For the Competitors
      The prizes of the value of Rs.200 and Rs.100 to the students getting the first and second positions respectively in the annual competition moot.
      Competitors for the annual competition moot shall be selected from among those who have obtained distinction in the ordinary moots during the course of the session.
      For the Secretaries
      Silver medals may be awarded to the Secretaries for efficient work if recommended by the teacher-in-charge
