Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a dynamic healthcare profession which primarily focuses on the patients that have musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary systems’ impairments leading to functional disabilities. Additionally the field of physiotherapy is well developed in specializations such as sports physiotherapy, women’s health etc. Employment opportunities for physiotherapists are tremendous as it is a career where the demand exceeds supply.

Medical Imaging Technology (MIT)

A Medical Imaging Technologist is the only expert recognized for the production of medical diagnostic images by using ionizing or non-ionizing radiations. Radiological Technologists organize many of the procedures, which are undertaken in Radiology/Medical Imaging Departments. They execute radiographic procedures, such as CT Scans, MRIs, Angiography, General Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Mammography.

Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)

MLT is a profession that combines the challenges and rewards of medicine with laboratory science. Medical Laboratory Technologists perform complex and varied laboratory analyses, and use critical thinking skills in determining the accuracy and validity of test results. In diverse health care settings, clinical laboratory scientists provide test results used by physicians in determining: the presence, extent, and causes of disease; monitoring therapy; and evaluating testing protocols to insure optimum and safe public health applications.

Speech & Language Pathology

Working with the full range of human communication and its disorders, speech-language pathologists evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Speech-language pathologists often work as part of a team, which may include teachers, physicians, audiologists, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation counselors and others. Corporate speech-language pathologists also work with employees to improve communication with their customers.

Audiology

Hearing is one of our most vital senses, and audiologists are experts in the management of the auditory and balance systems. They specialize in the study of normal and impaired hearing, prevention of hearing loss, identification and assessment of hearing and balance problems & rehabilitation of persons with hearing and balance disorders. They work in offices of physicians; in hospitals; and in outpatient care centers. Some work in educational services, scientific research and development services.

Optometry

Optometrist is a health care provider who specializes in the examination, diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of diseases and disorders of the human visual system, the eye, and the associated structures. They care for patients before and after surgeries such as laser vision correction and cataract removal. Optometrists often specialize in work with sports vision, contact lenses, or vision therapy. The majority of optometrists work in a general practice. Others consult, teach, or conduct research.

Dental Hygiene

Dental hygienists are uniquely qualified and specially trained to work with the dentist, focusing on periodontal health by monitoring oral hygiene practices and assisting the patient to develop a home care plan to maintain their oral health. Hygienists are specially trained to carry out scaling and polishing. Dental hygienists are in demand in general dental practices, as well as in specialty practices such as pediatric dentistry.

Dental Technology

A Dental Technologist is a regulated health care profession. Dental Technicians are healthcare professionals whose scope of work includes the design, construction, repair or alteration of dental appliances or devices. The dental technologists autonomously perform the full scope of dental technology practice and supervise the technical aspects of dental laboratory operation.
