26 Fata students to visit USA
Islamabad:Talented students of the Federally Administered Tribal Area (Fata) will visit reputed educational institutions and important places of the USA under student exchange programme to be conducted by the ED Links.

Minister for Environment Hameedullah Jan Afridi informed about details of the programme during a meeting which was attended by Regional Director (ED Links) Ajmal Khan, Programme Manager Abida Sohail, Managing Director Enercon Fareedullah Khan and officials of the environment ministry.

As many as 26 students, including 7 girls and 19 boys, have been given representation at national level for carrying out a detailed survey and evaluation of their educational performances. These selected students would act as ambassadors of Pakistan during their visit to the United States.

The minister said that the students of Fata are capable and talented and they would be selected for all national and international tours purely on merit. He said every possible resources should be mobilised for expansion of educational facilities in tribal areas as the young students of Fata would promote the soft image of Pakistan with their talent and achievements.

Ajmal Khan said that selected students would be imparted training in digital and web-based technologies and a 15-day training programme has also been designed in Islamabad prior to their visit abroad.The news
