Girls outshine boys in Secondary School Certificate Exams results In  Federal Board

ISLAMABAD (APP): Eight girls outshone boys by bagging top positions in Secondary School Certificate Part-II Annual Exams results, both in Science and Humanities groups on Monday. The results were announced by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) here. A total of 47,125 candidates appeared in the examination, of which 43,147 passed it, with a success rate of 91.63 percent. In the overall Science group, Attiqa Sohail Khan (143695) of Fauji Foundation College for Girls New Lalazar, Rawalpindi Cantt and Misbah Zeb (147776) of Army Public School, Okara Cantt shared the first position by securing 1007 marks each. The only boy in the first three positions was Nasar Mubarak (115524) of PAF Public School, Murree who shared the second position with Iman Akhtar (152380) of Army Public School,Karachi Cantt. Both the second position holders secured 1004 marks each. Similarly, the third position was also shared by girls namely Komal Mushtaq (146823) of Fazaia Model Inter-College Sargodha and Seema Kanwal (151251) of Hamza Army Public School, Rawalpindi, securing 1002 marks each. In Humanities group, Komal Gilani (180688) of F.G Girls High School Lohi Bher, Islamabad bagged first position by securing 931 marks while Memuna Ahmad (183583) of F.G Girls Model School, G-6/1-3 Islamabad secured 921 marks and Mehwish Bibi (182780) of F.G Girls Model School, G-11/2, Islamabad secured 911 marks, bagging second and third position respectively. A total of 38,947 candidates appeared in the Science group including 22,896 boys and 16,051 girls. As many as 36,436 students passed the exam giving the success rate of 93.63 percent. While in Humanities group, 8,178 candidates including 7,327 girls and 851 boys appeared in the final exam and 6,711 students passed it. The total pass percentage of this group was 82.09 percent. A total of 58870 ex-private candidates appeared in the SSC Part-II annual examination this year including 31,495 boys and 27, 375 girls. 48,044 candidates passed the exam thus giving a success rate of 81.77 percent. The FBISE has notified that the SSC Supplementary Examination will be held from August 25. The schedule for receipt of admission forms along with admission fee in the Board's office is July 17. The result was also available on the federal board website at the weblink www.fbise.edu.pk and on sms unified code 5050. The result cards will dispatched to the candidate soon.
