Co-accused inJinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre rape case still at large
KARACHI: The co-accused nurse and driver in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) rape case, identified by the victim in her first police statement, remain at large.

A nurse Sajjad Fatima and a driver Arshad allegedly took the trainee nurse to the room of Dr Abdul Jabbar Memon, as per the victim’s statement to the police.

Sources said police officials have neither recorded the statements of the co-accused nor detained them for questioning.

SP Amir Farooqui said there was no breakthrough in the investigation; however, the culprits involved in the crime would be brought to justice.

It is pertinent to mention here that the trainee nurse had identified Dr Memon, his driver and a nurse for their involvement in her rape.Daily times
