World Scout Day  Zardari urges scouts to engage in peace activities

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the scouts to make extra efforts to actively engage themselves in health activities and inculcating peace and harmony through their conduct.

In his message on the World Scout Day Saturday, President Zardari said scouting is a unique endeavour that is driven by a spirit of love, compassion and selfless service of mankind regardless of caste, creed, colour or national boundaries.

President Zardari quoted

the words of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, saying, �Scouting can play a very vital role in forming the character of our youth, promoting their physical, mental and spiritual development and making them well-disciplined, useful and good citizens.�

He urged the scouts to reiterate the motto of the year �Scouting For Peace�, which has a special relevance in context of the present times when people are faced with militancy, extremism and terrorism.

The president hoped that the scout leaders would do their best for further growth of the scout movement and promotion of its values in the country.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to help everyone in achieving the noble mission and further promotion of scouting in the countr
