Baluchistan Assembly Degrees of all women members are bogus HEC sources
ISLAMABAD - Existence of Baluchistan Assembly is in the danger as all the degrees of women MPs are bogus while majority of male members also have fake degrees, according to highly-placed sources in Higher Education Commission.
According to the sources, there are some BA members who were even elected on bogus degrees during Musharraf regime. The HEC has informed the government in this regard, the sources added.
Sources in Interior Ministry said that the government had gathered details about the degrees of MPs through intelligence agencies after media reports surfaced in this connection and it had come to know that majority of BA members had fake degrees. Keeping in view the reports of intelligence agencies, the government had directed HEC to verify degrees of Balochistan MPs. The government sources said that if HEC formally declares degrees of BA members as bogus, then mid-term elections would be held in Balochistan.
The interior ministry sources said that law and order situation is not good in Balochistan, therefore mid-term polls cannot be held in the province. Sources in the Election Commission of Pakistan said there would be no option left except mid-term polls if HEC declares degrees of BA members as fake.Nation
