39th convocation of Home Economics College (HEC) Gulberg Lahore

Lahore: The 39th convocation of the Home Economics College (HEC) Gulberg was held at the college auditorium on Saturday.
Punjab University (PU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran was the
chief guest. College Principal Nosheena Saleem, PU Doctoral Programme Co-ordination Committee Chairwoman Dr Shahida Husnain, college faculty, students and parents were also present on the occasion. Nosheena briefed the audience about courses and facilities being offered at the college.

She said that the curriculum of home economics in terms of intellectual content was far more substantial than other programmes. She added that college students were doing research for various non-government organisations. "We believe that research is an indicator of quality education and we maintain quality in research," the principal said. In her message to students, Earlier, the PU vice-chancellor awarded medals and degrees to graduating students of various courses including MSc home economics (Textile and Clothing), MSc human development and family studies, home management, interior design and post graduate diploma. He urged students to be creative in their approach.
