Administration of the hospital is managed by a Board of Management headed by a chairman. The Board of Management has ten members. The members of the Board of Management are as follows:

Lt. General (Retd.) Mohammad Tariq (Chairman).
Professor Jawad Sajid Khan (Head of the Institution/ official member).
Professor Muhammad Azhar (Chairman Academic Council/ official member).
Secretary Health Government of the Punjab (Official member).
Secretary Finance Government of the Punjab (Official member).
Professor Col. (Retd.) Masud Ahmad Cheema (Non official member).
Dr Muhammad Naseem Javaid (Non official member).
Hassan Irfan Ullah (Non official member).
Javaid Shaffi (Non official member).
Gohar Ejaz (Non official member).

Administration of the hospital is supervised by the Head of Institution, Prof Dr Jawad Sajid Khan. He is overall incharge of the institution and dean of the Cardiac Surgery Department and leading cardiac surgeon of Pakistan.
Dr Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Medical Superintendent is responsible for all the matters related to the hospital management. He along with his team maintains discipline of the hospital including punctuality, conduct and performance.
Punjab Institute of Cardiology has about 190 doctors, 250 nurses and 700 technical and para-medical staff.
Medical Superintendent discharges his administrative duties through two additional medical superintendents, one finance director and one deputy chief nursing superintendent.
Additional Medical Superintendent Administration and Purchase is responsible for all administrative matters, establishment, human resources, food service, patient medical record, pharmacy, purchase and stores of the hospital. He has support of two deputy medical superintendents, one for administration and one for purchase and stores. There is a Deputy Medical Superintendent/duty medical officer for evening and night duty. Human Information Management and Services is maintained by a system analyst. Pharmacy of the hospital is run through a pharmacy manager who is a post graduate pharmacist.
Additional Medical Superintendent Geneneral is responsible for development, repair and maintenance of all the building and equipments of the hospital. He delivers his duties through a Deputy Medical Superintendent Repair and Development, Resident Engineer and Electronic Care taker.
