Message from the Ex-Principal on recognition of Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan by PM&DC

The PM&DC has recognized Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan during its recent meeting held on April 30 - May 1, 2007 in Islamabad. It is an occasion to thank God Almighty for achieving this most important milestone in the history of this medical college.
The medical teachers of Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan have disposed great qualities and dedication culminating in achievement of this land mark. It would not have possible without their support.
The students of SZMC, R. Y. Khan have also shown fine quality of trusting the words of their Principal and teachers about process and reasons of delay in recognition of this medical college. They whole heartedly stood behind their Principal and teachers.
The management of Sheikh Zayed Hospital, R.Y.K also gave full support in establishment of various departments of SZMC. The support given by Medical Superintendent, Specialists, Medical Officers, Nursing Superintendent and Nurses of SZH will also he remembered and not to forget the services of all paramedical staff of SZMC & SZH, Rahim Yar Khan.
The Chairman Board of Management, Chaudary Mohammad Munir has played pivotal and decisive role in the process of recognition of the college. Other members of the Board of Management have given full support to the Principal and medical faculty in provision of finances and logistic support & unstinted backing in the establishment of this medical college and its recognition under the noble guidance of the Chairman Board of Management of SZMC/SZH R.Y.K.
It will be unfair if I do not acknowledge the unflinching and unconditional support provided by the Secretaries of Health, Additional, Deputy Secretaries and Section Officers of Health Department Punjab to SZMC, R.Y.K in meeting all requirements essential for recognition of this medical college.
Similarly the honorable Governor of Punjab Lt. General (Rtd.) Mr. Khalid Maqbool and Chief Minister Punjab have always provided al1 resources in the establishment of this medical college in the southern end of Punjab. We are sure this medical college will produce doctors of highest standard and these doctors will be blessing for ailing humanity of this area, Pakistan and all over the world.
Let all of us pray to God Almighty that this medical college develops into the finest medical institution in the world & a beacon of light and hope for humankind. Amen.
