About Govt. APWA College For Women Lahore

Govt. APWA College For Women Lahore is situated on Jail Road in a beautiful and elegant building. This college was founded by All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) Punjab in 1958. Initially it was up to the intermediate level but in 1964 it was declared a Degree College. The college was nationalized in 1972 and after that it saw many positive expansions.

          In 1974 for the first time science subjects were include up to the intermediate level. On the notification of The Education Department of Govt. of Punjab from 2003 second shift classes have been started. To help the students in the economical field, commerce subjects are being taught from 2005 other than that two new subjects, Library Science and Nursing are also included in the syllabus. At the present time 84 teachers are teaching in 25 departments.
