Asif dedicated her success to her parents and teachers. She added that she had dedicated a lot of time to study and distanced herself from other activities. She also said that hard work always bears fruit. Asif shared that she wanted to be a chartered accountant just like many in her family.
Iqbal said she was ecstatic when her name was announced in front of everyone. She said she had worked very hard in grade 9, but didn’t get any position. She had vowed to secure herself a position in the top three this year. She added that the reason female candidates were more successful was because they worked harder as compared to the boys who were always engaged in other activities. She said there was a difference of 2 points between the first and second position and pledged to work even harder next time.
Ahmed said that he plans to celebrate his success with his friends. However, he dedicated his position to his parents and teachers, who seemed happier than him. He said he had not expected to secure a place in the top positions but was ecstatic to have found out he secured the third position out of more than 100,000 students. He added that boys do not study as much as girls because they play sports and suggested that that may be the reason why he didn’t finish on top.
