Pak student awarded PhD by UK university
Islamabad: University of Lancaster has awarded PhD degree to a Pakistani student, Saqib Ali s/o Akhtar Hussain, says a press release issued here on Sunday.

Saqib has achieved this success by attending the university as a regular student for three years. After his preliminary education at Cadet College, Hassan Abdal, he got his BSc (Electrical) and MSc (Computer) engineering degrees from UET, Taxila, and won NESCOM scholarship for studies abroad. He has to his credit first division throughout his academic career.

The topic of his research was based on IEEE802.16m standard for PhD in communication systems. During his degree, he managed to publish 17 research articles among which some were in the world reputed journals. He also presented papers in conferences/seminars held in England, Spain, Jordan & Germany.

His wife, Zunaira Saqib, has also done her MA (H RD & Consulting) from Lancaster University of Management School (LUMS) in 2009.The news
