NAVTTC grants accreditation of 144 programmes to 16 institutes
Islamabad:12 August: National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has granted the accreditation of 144 programmes in 16 institutions. The 8th meeting of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Accreditation and Quality Assurance Committee (TA&QAC) held at NAVTTC headquarters, Islamabad.
Accreditation and Certification (A&C) Director General Syeda Adeela Bokhari chaired the meeting. Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) Ismat Gul Khattak, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PFCCI) Chairman Mian Waqas, National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE) Associate Professor Syed Amir Haider, Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) Regional Manager, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) registrar, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Director Saleem Ullah Saho, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Dr Nisar Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Institute (TEVTA) Director Mian Khurram Ahsan, Sindh TEVTA Deputy Director Prince Rajpal and officers of NAVTTC participated in the meeting.

The accreditation assessment reports of 157 programmes of the onsite assessments conducted during the last three months by NAVTTCs’ Accreditation & Certification Wing were presented for the final approval of the committee, out of which 144 programmes in 16 institutes have been granted accreditation in various categories; thus the total number of accredited TVET programmes so far by NAVTTC has raised to 427 and 89 institutes, the detailed list of accredited programmes and institutes can be accessed at NAVTTC official website. Moreover, the schedule of accreditation on-site-assessments of 450 programmes in 61 institutes has been approved for implementation during the next quarter.
