Punjab Scholarship for minority students

 F.P. Report  LAHORE: The department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs Punjab, under a scholarship scheme for minorities students of various disciplines has invited applications for awarding of scholarships for the year 2008-09. The scholarships will be awarded from the level Matric, FA/FSc/D.Com and those acquiring higher professional studies in recognized government institutions as a regular student. The students, who already are receiving financial assistance, stipends or scholarship from another source or minority quota are not eligible. The students who have obtained at least 50% (category B) to 60% (Category A) marks in the last year examination can apply. Category A students will get additional increase of Rs.1000/- than that of category B. The scholarship for Post graduate level (MA, MSc, MBA, M.Com, M. Phil, M.Ed) is Rs.25000/- professional studies (Medical and Engineering) Rs.30,000 each, 4-year Bachelor Programme (Honors, B-com, BBA, BSc, BA, BSc) Rs.20,000/-, FA/Fsc/D.Com) Rs.15000 and Matric Rs.10,000/-. Students can send their applications alongwith a letter of recommendation by Institutional/Religious Head, attested photocopies of NIC, Mark Sheet of the last examination and Entry test/Annual Exam of the present institution to the Section Office (Minorities) 230- Rewaz Garden Lahore. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. Photocopy of the application form would be acceptable for the convenience of the students. The last date for submission of applications is January, 30.
