Japanese speech contest at NUML

Islamabad:A Japanese Language Speech Contest was held at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) here Wednesday in which 10 students from Diploma and Certificate Programme of the Japanese Language Department participated.

The students delivered elaborate and well-prepared speeches on a variety of informative topics such as ‘Experience of Learning Japanese’, ‘Pak-Japan Relationship’, ‘Why I Want to Visit Pakistan’, ‘Hunza Baltit Fort’, `Places to Visit in Islamabad’, `Anime’ and ‘Leisure Time’.

One of the students elaborated the cultural diversity of Japanese in ‘Japanese Street Fashion’, which is mostly followed by the people of Tokyo who look different with unusual dressing and makeover.

Association of Pakistan (MAAP); Iftikhar Amjad, a visiting faculty member of Japanese Language Department NUML; and Maki Mizusawa, Third Secretary Public Affairs Section, Embassy of Japan.

Japanese Ambassador Chihiro Atsumi, the chief guest, gave away participation certificates to all students, while the winners were awarded with prizes.The news
