MINGORA: Boys surpassed the girls as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Swat announced results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination here Wednesday.
The top three positions were secured by boys as Khalil-ur-Rehman of the pre-medical group from International Public School and College, Kabal clinched first position in the board by getting 690 out of 1100 marks.
Shehzad Hussain, student of pre-medical at Govt Degree College Mingora, stood second with 943 marks while Muhammad Riaz Khan of the same group and same college won third position with 926 marks. The top three positions in arts group were grabbed by girl students as Reshman, a student of Government Girls Degree College, Buner obtained first position with 794 marks.
Nayab Gul from Govt Girls Degree College, Saidu Sharif stood second with 789 marks while her college colleague Sunbal Khan was third with 786 marks. In part-I of medical group, 3,288 students appeared and 2,265 were declared successful.
