Work on new schools NWFP

CHAKDARRA: NWFP Education Minister Sardar Hussain Babak Tuesday said that Rs5 billion would be spent on the construction of new schools in the Education, health officials asked to join duties.

He was talking to reporters here after visiting various areas in Dir Lower. The minister announced to release Rs11.2 million immediately for the reconstruction of Government Girls High School, Chakdarra. He said the schools in the province would be built on a new pattern as huge sum of money was allocated for the purpose. He added that every effort would be made to make education accessible to all the children of the province.

Fata students get aid today: Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) through Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) will extend financial assistance to female students of Fata at a ceremony being held at PUTA Hall, University of Peshawar, at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday).

PUTA President Dr Arbab Khan Afridi will preside over the ceremony while Naveed Anwar, chairman, PAD Relief Pakistan, will be the chief guest.

The PAD has distributed over Rs115 million so far amongst the female students of Malakand Agency and Fata.THE NEWS
